Anti-Canadian sentiment is rather hard to conjure up in the Western World, and even beyond, the Americans and Brits are just better stock villains. Still, it hasn't stopped the Trump administration from pursuing aggressive trade and diplomatic policies towards the Great White North. The reasoning has never really been clear, and lacks much of a precedent. The most recent one I could think of was a military stand off over a pig in 1859.
