Slight Rebrand! Introducing Moss Planet

Minor update on my substack branding, no real change in content style

In case you were curious about why you don’t recognize the person in you feed, it’s just Charlie, except now with a new logo. I decided on this new name and logo after watching the Netflix documentary Life on Our Planet. This documentary described a 40 million year period of earth’s history when the land was covered only by moss. The idea of 40 million years of moss interested me, it’s almost comforting to imagine, although ultimately would be so long that you would get sick of moss after just a million years, and then you still have 39 million years of moss left to go.

But people seemed to like the idea of the moss planet when I tweeted about it, so I decided that it can be a soft, inoffensive blanket that I put over my writing. The Moss Planet substack has the unique advantage of being somewhere you aren’t stuck on for tens of millions of years. Hope you enjoy!
